Color Me Mine Review

Morning Crafters!
Today I am sharing a layout I did for a challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches and reviewing Color Me Mine

We had so much fun at Color Me Mine. We got to bring treats and paint a ceramic object of our choice.
I loved that we surprised my sister for her birthday.

For the challenge I added this pocket card... I cut it at 3 x 8 to be able to fold over the pocket. I used an embellishment by Dear Lizzie. (Oh how I love all her products!)

Here is my card that I also used black in and distressed the edges.

The inside of my pocket card is where I added my journaling.

The staff was so friendly. We had a staff member with us at all times. She took everyone's color request and assisted us the whole time. We all enjoyed the fun atmosphere. I would def recommend coming to this place. Infact I would love to spend my birthday there!

Would love to see you stop on by Stuck On U Sketches and join our challenge!

DIY kiss kiss wrapping paper

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Today I am sharing a little DIY fun.
So I am at work and I need to wrap my honey's Valentine Gift.
I was going to use craft paper which is what we usually wrap out going boxes in but wanted to make my gift cute. I ended up using a white shipping envelope for my project or any white paper will do.
This is my finished project and I must say it was pretty darn cute and cheap!

Free printable tag was courtsey of 100 Layer Cakelet do ck them out - that little girl is sooo cute!

I started off with a white envelope and unglued each side

I then added my lips on my envelope

And........ here you have it! My little love package!

If you are worried about smearing your lipstick - you can add this step: after you add kiss lips scan your image and print out on your cardstock. I did not care if it smeared because I knew the gift would go straight from my hands to my Valentine's hands to be opened. He loved my wrapping paper and that made me happy :)

Ok people I wish you much love & sweets today! Please eat plenty for me! Today marks 5 days without suger & carbs...lets just say I wont be eating any sweets today :( but I'm down 4 pounds so that will work!

This picture of Charlie Brown is exactly how I will walk around today...
happy in love just like Charlie Brown!

Valentine's DIY Party!

Hi! Happy day before Valentines!
Every year I host a Valentine Craft party. It's the one day out of the year that my sister's and nieces
come over and craft with me. I bake lots of treats and they make their husbands a Valentine card.
This year I thought I would do something different. I decided we would each make a floral headpiece. Get ready for picture overload :)

To start the party off this DIY banner helped. Place a string through clearance christmas bows.

Pink donuts!

I ordered these heart shaped pizza's for my guests.

A little pink bubbly was a must!

My guests made valentine cards before we started our DIY project.

sweets are my weekness!

This is us being silly. I love that my family supports me with all my crazy ideas.

Here is my inspiration... found this little lady on IG and all her floral headpieces are so pretty.

Ta da!

So there you have it........ this was the best Valentine party I have had! We had so many laughs that my cheeks hurt! I think we could of all used smaller flowers but all in all they were made with love.

I hope I inspired you to get your girlfriends together and craft DIY-style :)

SOUS CHALLENGE: Use a heart cut out

Happy Monday!

I love being part of the design team for Stuck on u sketches because it reminds me to 1) create in my Project Life album and 2) get crafty with the challenges they offer.

This weeks challenge was to use a heart cut out.
Here is my layout...
I used a heart punch to create my heart cut out.

Here you can see I added "puppy love" to white cardstock I placed under my punch.

I had so much looking at these pictures because I remember taking them and trying to get these two to sit still.

creating a layout is super easy all you need is a couple of embellishments and your done!

I hope you can hop on over to Stuck On U Sketches and join us!

Happy Crafting!

DIY LOVE is in the air!

Happy February!
The month when we get to share love with our family & friends!

So I have been on a mission to decorate of course! lol

So here we go.... I added the word Love to my throw pillow.
This project was so easy did it in 20 min max! I was even sick! Don't ask me why I still craft when I'm sick~

I ran my red iron on vinyl through my Cricut.

This is my new cart that I purchased on clearance at Michaels for 19... still pricey but my daughter loves the images.

The word love is now cut. My cricut makes cutting a breeze by doing it for you!

Here I am ironing it on to my chevron pillow cover.

Ta Da! Easy Peasy

I now have some cute Valentine's Day throw pillows on my sofa :)

If you don't own a die cutter you could always trace and cut by hand like I did in this banner I made a few years back

You can find a Cricut Mini sometimes as low as $69 at Michael's craft stores.

Thanks for stopping by!
