Get Messy Art Journal & link up! Let's Parrrtay!

Happy Thursday folks! Why happy? Yes, because on Thursday's we Parrrtay! Sharing some pages from my Get Messy Art Journal! The prompt for this month was to throw a party! Take a peek at my party pages!

So the prompt was plan a party. Since I got to select who was coming I invited my mom and dad. I am going to get deep on you here. Since this party was make believe I thought why not!? These people here are my parents. My mom died a month after I started kindergarten. Exactly a month after my 5th birthday. I don't even remember a birthday with her. I don't own a lot of photos of her so this was a scanned copy of one of the photos I do have of her. This picture was taken way before they had us eight girls. I used a party bag to place my picture on top of and inside I wrote the details of how my party would be.

This here is my second page. Please don't laugh...  one of my first attempts at drawing. I drew what I wanted at my party and then used colored water pencils to color over them.  I would love to have my parents there and treat them as royals!

I would love for you to check out our "Get Messy Group" come on by!

Print and Cut using my Cameo!

Hi Friends! Today's post was inspired by my niece Marissa. Her babyshower theme is TIFFANY & Co. My niece sent me a picture and asked if I could make her something similar. I was happy she asked because nothing makes me happier than being able to do things for my family. At the same time I was happy I was also afraid. The mommy advice cards she wanted required me to plug in my ...Silhouette Cameo. This is when I started to cringe a lil! Here is my final product and I am happy to report my niece loves them!

I started off looking for an ornament shape in the Silhouette Studio and I found one. I got some great tips from a very sweet IG friend Jessica. One of the tips she gave me is once your words are placed where you want them to go ahead and make the registration marks and hit print. After you print you must take your words off the screen and then send it to the cameo to cut. You do not want your words on your screen or the cameo will want to cut them. The screen above shows where I was able to change my font color.

Here you can see the registartion marks - those tell the cameo where to cut. I apologize for the bad lighting it was very late at night.  So there you have it as I use this cameo I am starting to find that I actually love it! hmmm and to think I was scared of it! ha! silly me!

til next time!

#GIRLBOSS - yes, you need this book!

I came across this book on IG-yes, because that's one of my addictions. I need to learn to stay off IG so I can keep my money in my pocket. So I went down to my local Barnes & Nobles and there it was. I took a trip last month and my flight was nine hours. This book was my perfect companion. My review- let's do this....

So this book was fun to read- why you ask......... because she is so honest and raw. Sophia Amoruso tells you exactly what's on her mind. She paints the perfect picture. I am not one to read because I just can't sit still long enough to finish a book! I did not have a problem finishing this book. I'm going to tell you she is a bad ass. She deserves everything great in her life. She started her buisness on eBay- yes eBay. I don't  want to give away this whole book but it is an awesome book. Especially if your like me... a girl with a dream.

You can check her out here or her book here  #GIRLBOSS

Thanks for joining me today for a Thursday recap of my get messy journal.

Shall we begin?

So there you have it! I ADORE these stamps by Ashley Goldberg. Loved using them to create my pages. I am having so much fun with this journal. It's like a diary for grown-ups. I was prompted by a sweet girl's blog I read you can check her out here:  Zie of Darling Dear . She wrote a post on being accountable. I have all these things I want to do and I just don't have any time to complete them all. So I decided I needed to start acting on them. The first thing was to write them out. I want to find out what I am good at. Wish me luck as I travel with this journal on my adventure!

What are some of your goals?

My Huffy Beach Cruiser - Let's Ride!

Hi Friends! Today I am sharing some fun DIY projects I made for my beach cruiser. I really really enjoy my bike. It's a tad tall for me but being on my tippy toes is something I still have to get used too. The smaller cruiser would have been way to small for me. So here goes... I added a cute basket and bell to give my bike a fun look.
she's so pretty!

ofcourse when I bike with my little guy drinks & snacks will be inside!

purchased my bell and basket at target

I decided to spray paint my bell pink because thats my favoritee color :)

here is my basket after two coats of white spray paint

This is my bike before & my cute riding partner

love being on the road I feel like a kid again!

My Huffy beach cruiser review: This is a starter bike. I say that because its a lil stiff to ride uphill but what bike isnt? This bike does not have brakes on the handle bars but if you need to brake just pedal backwards. I love the price I paid for it. It was $88 and you can buy it here Walmart.com I wanted a bike that was put together and that I could start riding right away. It's a fun bike. It was my Mother's day gift and actually all my kids enjoy riding it. Now I need to get my two girls their own beachcruiser! If you want to hit the pavement this summer def ck it out!  You can also check out Huffy's  website for some super cute bikes if your willing to pay a little more.

Thanks for coming by my sweet friends!

I recently am loving to watercolor so this class was right up my ally! I had so much fun, it was as if it was a reuinon from our last class with Amy which you can check out here
