Vinyl Tutorial

Hi Crafters!
In this post I will show you how I added vinyl to my office chair.
 I chose my color vinyl.

I place my vinyl down on my mat

I select and load my cartridge. I am using "Cuttin Up"

I select the font, letters and size

My cricut starts workin it's magic! (below)

I now tear off my vinyl and the letters stay on my mat.
(I suppose you could use "kisscut" but I have never tried)

I use my cricut tools to get the vinyl to lift.

From there I simply place each letter from the mat to where you will place your vinyl
Here I am attaching it to my office chair.

Waaaa Laaa.... here it is!

I love the way it came out looks "fun" to me
and thats what I hope to do in this room once I'm finished with it!

I hope you where able to follow along if not feel free to leave comments and I will certainly get back to you!

Got Monogram?

Hello Crafters! It's Monday and it's Thanksgiving week! Yay! I thought I would share my obsession with monograming EVERYTHING! Attached are some pictures of a framed monogram J that I made using my Cricut for my craftroom.
Green Damask Cardstock .59 cents
 Black Frame 12.00

Using my Cricut I cut out a "J" from the Varsity Cartridge on glitter cardstock

Here is the "J" once it's cut on my damask cardstock
I added adhesive to the back of my J to get it to stick

And..... here it is framed on my wall in my craftroom that I am setting up!

It is centered in the middle of my kids art from when they where little.

Below are some other Framed Monogramed letters I have made for my nieces and nephews

Thanks for letting me share one of my current obsessions!!

DIY Fabric Art & 2 Window Panels for $16.00

Hi there! Happy Friday!

I thought I would share how I used 1 curtian panel to make some framed art and 2 curtain valances... I even have fabric left over to make two decorative pillows for my bed! (ALL for $16!)

I had this frame already so I just needed something to place inside.
Fabric from Joanns was going to cost me $80 and it was a special order!

Sorry for the poor lighting! I used the bottom part of panel to place in my frame.

The top part of each panel was cut in half since I needed to cover both my bedroom windows.
I used this heat and bond to hem the bottom of each valance.

All this from 1 window panel from Target $16

Did I mention I still have fabric to make 2 decorative pillow covers for my bed? Pretty cool!
It pays to think outside the box!

DIY Christmas Ornament

Hi there! We had our end of the year party and I wanted to give gifts to the cheerleaders on my daughters squad. Since I won't see them during Christmas I thought why not?

Our symbol is the Bear Paw so I cut out the bear paw from the Zoo Day cartridge and used orange vinyl on my Cricut.

The lettering came built in my Cricut Expression 2 I love and use this font all the time!

You can pick these up at any craft store these where only $2.49!

I added this filler to each ornament.

Pretty simple and super easy!
